> Harmony >Reply Apr 01, 2008
It is superbly net but I find it a little too tight !
> Royer.daniel [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Apr 01, 2008
The framing might be too tight, but for this photo it helps to see the details of the broken beak.

Hornbills papuan (Aceros plicatus) live in eastern Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomon islands. In the adult male (photo), the head is covered by a hoopoe and the neck are red. The impressive beaks presents a beautiful yellow hue. A blue box forms a ring around the eye. Their diet is mainly vegetarian that consists of fruits, primarily figs. It is a beautiful portrait of this bird, well net.

It is a beautiful bird rhino as here Sharpness remarkable. However this is not net it is that one is constantly obliged to protect in order to avoid their disappearance. If it is really effective, well done for this Park.

The angle of view is the originality of this beautiful image. The white stripe in the vertical disturbs a little observation. Good technical mastery of the usual !

You come back with a wonderful photo once again. A beautiful bird, it would be a shame for it to disappear from the earth. Bravo to this park, for its initiative.

Sharp and beautifully placed on the eye and colours are splendid . What more can one ask . Is that the blue on the white is original .

Hello, The blue parts around the eye and under the beak, are original. The female does not have the part redhead and is all black with the round eyes blue. This is also to my knowledge the only birds with eyelashes in the eyes. Thank you for your comment.
> Nenfer13 [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 31, 2008

Rare and in danger, since if the climate changes, there will be less humidity to encourage their natural habitat and more of a battle for its survival, in what remains of the forest. Beautiful birds and beautifully presented here.
