The geyser of New Zealand

Author 'Sanka' A voir (Id 55041 ) : The name geyser comes from geyser emergence in Icelandic.
Spectacular phenomena, geysers are real volcanoes that project, so continuously or intermittently, of huge jets of steam and water very hot. Most of the geysers are located in volcanic regions or the magma is relatively close to the Earth's surface. In Iceland, New Zealand and the United States, them are in the Yellowstone Park famous who consider him only more than 250. : 6:: 6:

Very good explanation for your photo. Beautiful natural scenery, an impressive geyser and shot well.

The phenomenon of the geysers I was always impressed and, although centered, it still gives a good view and a good rendering in the background : bravo and thank you.

My vision of this image seems to me different from most of you, but I find it very beautiful, the colors are claquantes, it is clear and the sky is splendid and it gives precisely the impression that all of these clouds are white are trained by the clearing hot and damp of the geyser. As for the framing, yes I would have preferred it to be shifted to the left, but it does not detract from the beauty of this image.

The whole of New Zealand as a whole !!!
Lacks a little ice... Too much detail in the ice is near !!!

A jet a bit too much at the center of the image and which merges with the sky.

Thank you for showing this phenomenon, we don't often get the opportunity to see such an image. It is a very nice photo with beautiful colours.

I like your photo with its beautiful tones, which shows us a natural phenomenon that few of us will have the opportunity to see. In big, with a little imagination, one can imagine instead of the photographer.

What a beautiful natural phenomenon, the photo is beautiful and clear. The clouds disturb it a little but difficult to remove. A nice photo in spite of this small defect.

An extraordinary phenomenon which, even if here he flirts with the clouds, we watch the power.
> Heuze.michel [G] [P] [C] >Reply Feb 09, 2008
Aiming a little low, the hot spring centered and in the clouds suppress the impact of this image. In spite of everything it's interesting to see...

So geyser means to gush out in Icelandic, and it is for this reason that the region is Iceland's most famous for its geyser, called Geysir. I knew the name of the region, but not the verb. Your geyser is impressive, but it flirts a little too much with the clouds.
> Gibritte [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Feb 09, 2008
Very nice photo, I just wish the clouds that mask a little the elevation of the water.
All of the geysers don't throw the boiling water. I've had the experience of unintentionally at the beginning. I was watching a geyser too close to the Yellowstone (this was for the photo), when suddenly the wind pushed the drops of water on me. My first reflex was to pull back and at the same moment I received it, I realized that they were cold.
For fun , I went in front of the geyser where I have had the pleasure of taking a shower.
By contrast, the other tourists who were more far away, watched me strangely when I passed in front of them and they had to ask if I still had all my reason .
I do not recommend the same to anyone to do the same, as the geysers of cold water must be very rare.
Prior to this experience, for me, a geyser could not expel boiling water.

The subject is a little centered, but the photo is beautiful and the colours superb.
For Yellowstone, I believe that there is a webcam that allows you to see it live.
