It is always difficult to photograph animals in captivity, precisely because of the environment in which they are located. But this bird is so beautiful that it oversights the annoying details.

It is actually a turaco, whose head is often decorated with a crest colourful. This is the turaco to hoopoe red or Ross's Turaco (Musophaga rossae). Its plumage is largely polished, and often of a bright blue. This little bird settled in the south-west of Africa saw them in the forests. It feeds on fruits. Beautiful shot of this bird.

Bravo Fada. I really thought that it was a 'Turaco' and the most similar that I found was the 'Turaco pauline'. I had reason to worry about because it is the 'Ross's Turaco' (Musophaga rossae). Thank you Fada and thank you also Eva.

Bravo and thank you to both of you, our specialists, who do not spare their efforts to identify with certainty the specimens, both for wildlife and for the flora

The bird is actually splendid, the environment less.
I've also thought of a Turaco pauline ! But is that fair ?
Beautiful bird : bravo and thank you.

This bird looks like a Turaco, but it is necessary to check, of course.
The colors are gorgeous, and the head very special
The environment is not at the top but we won't tell

What colors ! The environment is pale figure next to a beautiful bird that I did not know.
