The trumpet of death is quite common everywhere in France. He has the hat in the shape of a funnel and it is completely hollow up to the base. The brim of the hat is sinuous, wavy and lobed towards the outside. The tube thus formed takes the place of the foot. The color varies from dark brown to nearly black brown bistre by time sec. Contrary to its name, it is a good edible, tasty and fragrant.
