Hello, well I have called this photo 'culeuvre purple VIPer's bugloss', she has the head a little triangular like the VIPer, the pupil, however, is round like snakes, take a look at the books on snakes, and you will find, alas, it is often called the asp in my area and it is a shame !

It is simple enough to recognize : the VIPer's head in a triangle, the pupil oval, as the cats and the tail that ends very short, so that the snake in general, at the head more oval, the pupils round and the tail that ends in a point...

My kind of serpent France preferred. Bravo, beautiful specimen. : 5: However, the handling remains to avoid in order not to incur unnecessary stress in animals: 7:: 18:.

To distinguish between snake and snake (at least European ones) there are 2 important points:-the pupil is round the snake, and for split-vipers scales on top of the head are much wider than the rest of the body for snakes while most snakes are the same size.
Moderator's Response: Congratulations and thank you for all your valuable information. : 3:

It should, of course, be able to recognize them. For my part, I would not ask for my rest, I would go off quickly.
